Eons ago, I met Patrick Stewart briefly when he starred in Washington, DC Shakespeare Theatre production of Othello – it was a reverse race perspective (Othello as white, the rest of the cast was Black).
I was working in the box office of the theatre and he hosted a holiday party for the cast, crew and theatre staff in Dupont Circle – it was really nice!
After working for a news network for four years, I decided I wanted to try something new. So I quit my job, sold everything I had and moved to San Francisco only owning what I packed in two suitcases. Two years later, I work for a corporate communications PR firm, have made friends with a strong and beautiful group of women, made plans to travel out of the country more, and live in my tiny and cozy San Francisco apartment.
Next on my list of things to do: learn Arabic, become fluent in French, travel to South America next year, adopt a French Bulldog – and hopefully, fall in love:)
